Life Insurance Corporation of India conducts exams to recruit Class3 posts of assistants for performing various office duties, including single window operator, customer service and cashier. Prelim and mains

The exam date for LIC Assistant would be published on their official website; it involves a two-stage screening to engage eligible candidates. The test is conducted to recruit assistants in various branches. LIC have eight zonal offices, one hundred thirty-three zonal office and two thousand forty-eight branch offices. Eligibility criterion

The candidates willing to appear for the exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the recruitment board of LIC. Primarily the candidate should be an Indian citizen, above eighteen years and below thirty years. SC/ST candidates have age relaxation of five years, PWD (Person with Disability) SC/ST fifteen years and PWDOBC thirteen years. The age relaxation for ECO (Emergency Commissioned Officer)/SSCO(Short Serviced Commissioned Officer) general is five years, ECO/SSCO (SC/ST), ECO/SSCO (OBC) is ten and eight years, respectively. The candidate must have a Bachelor`s degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Course outline

You must be well acquainted with the syllabus to crack the exam. The course outline consists of English/Hindi language, numerical and reasoning ability. In an English paper, you need to solve cloze tests, error detection/correction, comprehension reading, Para jumbles, and fill in the blanks. In the numerical ability test, you have to answer quadratic equations, quantity-based questions, data sufficiency, simplification and approximation. In the reasoning ability test, the question is based on code/decoding, inequality, number series and syllogism.
