Hydration is important. The average human is 60% water and this water needs to be replenished daily. The reason for this is that you lose water daily. Urine, feces, and sweat all drain water from your body while freshwater encourages the transference of nutrients to cells and removes toxins.

In short, it is essential to your daily life.

Quality Counts

You may think that all water is the same and everything that comes out of the faucet is safe to drink. Sadly, this is not the case. Your mains water can be contaminated between the treatment center and your home. At the point it leaves the center bacteria have been killed, debris removed, and several chemicals have been added. These actually affect the flavor of your water.

But, as it travels through the pipes to your home it can pick up more contaminants. The best way to eliminate this risk and ensure you have high-quality water is to use a reverse osmosis filter, ro filters, as they are often called, push the water through a membrane, leaving the heavy metals and other contaminants behind.

Carry A Drink With You

You know the deal, scientists recommend you drink eight large glasses of water a day. But, the truth is you don’t always feel like drinking a glass of water or have the inclination to get yourself one. The good news is that you don’t need to drink it all at once.

Instead, carry a water bottle with you and sip it throughout the day. This will ensure you are drinking more water and you won’t even notice it.

Drink Before You Eat

Another good technique for increasing water intake is to create a habit of drinking a glass before you eat. This won’t just boost your hydration levels. It will also fill your stomach, decreasing the amount you eat and help you to lose or maintain your weight.

It Doesn’t Have To Be Water

You should also remember that you don’t just have to drink water! Water is in tea, coffee, and many other drinks. It is also present in food. In fact, much of the hydration you need can be got from the food and drink you already consume.

As part of this, you should focus on eating more fresh fruit and vegetables. They are full of water and will help you to stay healthy.

Know The Dehydration Signs

Being dehydrated means having headaches and feeling groggy, and perhaps it can be one of the causes of brain fog. As soon as you feel any of these symptoms you need to start drinking water and take it easy while your body recovers.

You can also keep an eye on your urine. If it is pale yellow or clear you are adequately hydrated. As soon as it goes dark you are dehydrated and need to consume more liquid. By monitoring your urine you will get a sense of when you should be drinking and avoid getting dehydrated in the first place.
