There are many moments during the day where you find yourself feeling tired, unable to get out of your chair, and looking for a quick energy boost. In times like these, coffee is the apparent winner. Its magical chemicals will make sure you have enough energy to bear through another meeting or give you the right amount of energy to finish your work.

However, there is also another special ingredient that increases energy levels. CBD is commonly associated with its calming and soothing effects, but in actuality, it can help boost your energy as well.

Effectiveness of CBD

There is no conclusive study on the full effects of CBD on energy levels, but it has been observed that through little dosages, your energy and focus can increase. Higher doses of CBD can make you feel slow, the typical behavior observed with CBD.

Interestingly, most CBD products also have caffeine, the main ingredient of coffee, in them. These two ingredients form a power-packed combination to boost energy.

Coffee makes you move

Caffeine is the most popular and commonly consumed psychoactive drug all over the world. There’s a lot of science-based research that goes on in the background. Once you drink coffee, caffeine is absorbed into your bloodstream and travels to your brain.

In the brain, it blocks a molecule called adenosine, which increases the level of neurotransmitters such as dopamine that causes a lot of neurons in your brain to start jumping around. This is why you feel like you’ve “woken up” or more energized after a cup of coffee. It’s as if the neurons got a jolt of adrenaline.

Because caffeine stimulates the nervous system, you feel and notice immediate alertness soon after consuming it. This is why it’s a commonly used ingredient to treat drowsiness, headaches, or migraines. Caffeine allows your blood vessels to expand, giving you relief.

Are These Healthy?

A lesser-known fact about coffee is that it has many antioxidants and nutrients that can help lower the risk of several serious diseases. It is also one of the few substances that increase your metabolism, making you burn more fat. Caffeine signals the fat cells in your body to break down body fat!

Caffeine also stimulates the nervous system, increases the adrenaline levels in your body, makes you more alert, and improves your physical performance. Other health benefits of coffee include: lowered risk of Parkinson’s, lowered risk of depression, protects your liver, and so much more!

CBD is known for helping people who suffer from health issues such as anxiety, depression, acne, and heart disease. It is safe to use, but it is also essential to consult a doctor before taking CBD continuously.

While coffee and CBD are healthy and have positive effects on the body, it is essential to note that they should not be supplemented for other nutrients and taken in moderation. You may even consult your doctor before taking any such supplement, especially if you are on medication.

Energy drinks are filled with tons of sugar, which causes a sugar rush and leaves you with a sugar crash. Caffeine can give you a sustained source of energy. It doesn’t have as many calories as other drinks, and it doesn’t come with artificial sweeteners, additives, and preservatives. Though energy drinks also have caffeine, it’s better to have pure caffeine from coffee.

How Much Caffeine Should You Consume

Having roughly 3mg of caffeine per kg of your body weight will give you the energizing effects to get through the day. Having too much coffee can be bad, so remember to take this in moderation.

For adults, it is recommended to have 400mg, which is roughly about five cups of coffee. If your body is sensitive to changes, you should slowly introduce caffeine into your system.

Best for a Quick Fix

When you are looking for a quick energy boost, coffee should be your go-to. With its many health benefits like increasing your lifespan or lowering the risk of certain diseases, it is an amazing ingredient that adds so many flavors to your life. When combined with CBD, it can work wonders for you and give you the energy to stay active throughout the day.
