Janked the MovieWhile the producer, director, and cast walked the red carpet, guests started arriving to watch the special screening of Janked, the Movie, held at LA Film School in Hollywood, CA on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Some of the film’s cast and crew that attended the event were Nick Warnock (“Bones”, “The Mentalist”), Eddie Goines (“American Gangster”, “Monk”), Vincent Nesci (“Richard III”), Brenda Vivian (“Cougar Town”), Alexandra Fulton (“The Game”) Nick Jameson (“Lost” and “24″) and Katie O’Brien (“Justified”, Weeds”).
Following the chat, guests were invited to the after party at the rooftop of the 1600 Vine Street building from 8:30 pm to 11:30pm. The red carpet and media was coordinated by Travis Jourdain from Five Minute Photos.
The first section of the movie did not make sense. It was kind of confusing and did not connect with the second scene. Later, new characters were shown without explaining their relationship to the earlier characters. The movie portrays selfish people and some that love each other, but they end up betraying each others trust and friendship and are only interested in money. However, there were some positive things that make the movie worthwhile. There were some great scenes with excellent special effects and sharp editing. These things make it a must see movie at the private screenings or film festivals and perhaps soon on the big screen. Hopefully viewers will learn about betrayal and to realize that some people change and become greedy when money is in their hands.

Janked was directed and written by Dakota Aesquivel and produced by Dakota Aesquivel  & Yvonne Montoya. The cast includes Vanessa Logan, Nick Warnock, Nick Jameson, Ed Dyer, Roger Rignack, Eddie Goines, Brenda Vivian, Vincent Nesci, Katie Locke O’Brien, Allison Ritter, Dakota Aesquivel, Alex Sanborn, Alexandra Fulton, Valerie Heidt, and Kye Kinder.

Janked is a dark comedy film released by Pulp Theater. It is an 83 minute feature film about a con artist, a desperate couple and a loan shark intertwining in three tales of greed and violence. For more information visit http://www.jankedthemovie.com
