Oprah Winfrey, Chaka Khan, Jordin Sparks Attend Bishop T.D. Jakes’ 35th Anniversary Celebration in Dallas, Texas

Thousands Gather in Dallas to Pay Tribute to Worldwide Spiritual Leader.

On Friday, June 8, 2012, world leaders, dignitaries and celebrities gathered to celebrate spiritual leader and faith-based entertainment mogul Bishop T.D. Jakes‘ 35-year career in ministry at the AT&T Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Texas.

Produced by Ron Weisner Entertainment, the evening was filled with moving tributes, including a special surprise appearance from internationalmedia icon Oprah Winfrey. Hosts Tyler Perry and CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien were among the A-list celebrities participating in the black tie gala, aptly titled “A Triumphant Journey.”

The night included music performances from R&B artists Chaka Khan, Jordin Sparks, Ledisi, KEM, Kelly Price, gospel artists BeBe Winans, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Karen Clark Sheard, and Mary Mary, and jazz musicians Keiko Matsui and Kirk Whalum.

Phillip Phillips Wins American Idol season 11; Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Chaka Khan performs on Season Finale

World Record 132 Million Votes Cast. 

Two-Hour Season Finale Featured Performances by Aerosmith, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Neil Diamond and Chaka Khan; Plus Special Duets by John Fogerty and Phillip Phillips; Jennifer Holliday and Jessica Sanchez; Fantasia and Joshua Ledet; Jordin Sparks and Hollie Cavanagh; Reba McEntire and Skylar Laine.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2012 the 11^th season of AMERICAN IDOL came to a sensational conclusion tonight as Phillip Phillips was crowned the winner during the live two-hour season finale on FOX. Phillips, 21, from Leesburg, GA, received the most of America’s world record-shattering 132 million votes – the highest number in the show’s history.

Phillips capped his coronation on Wednesday’s finale by singing “Home,” which is available for download exclusively on www.americanidol.com and iTunes.

The broadcast from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles featured performances by the reunited Top 12 finalists, as well as music superstars Aerosmith, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Neil Diamond and Chaka Khan.

Also, in a series of special duets, John Fogerty joined Phillip Phillips; Jennifer Holliday sang with Jessica Sanchez; Season Three winner Fantasia performed with Joshua Ledet; Season Six winner Jordin Sparks accompanied Hollie Cavanagh; and Reba McEntire paired up with Skylar Laine.

On Tuesday night’s final performance show, Phillips and Sanchez each sang three songs. Phillips performed “Stand By Me,” “Movin’ Out” and “Home”; and Sanchez sang “I Have Nothing,” “The Prayer” and “Change Nothing.”

Also, Jason Derulo performed “Undefeated” and Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery returned to IDOL to sing “Please Remember Me.”

Phillips is the 11^th finalist to win the coveted AMERICAN IDOL title and a record contract with 19 Recordings. He joins past winners Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze and Scotty McCreery.

Audition cities and dates for AMERICAN IDOL Season 12 include Los Angeles, CA, on Thursday, June 7; San Antonio, TX, on Thursday, June 14; Charlotte, NC, on Tuesday, June 19; Newark, NJ, onSaturday, June 23; Chicago, IL, on Thursday, July 12; and Oklahoma City, OK, on Friday, July 20. Celebrity Photographer Travis Jourdain Lands U/5 Role On The Young and The Restless Soap opera airs on CBS

Celebrity Photographer Travis Jourdain will be appearing in the soap opera The Young and the Restless on Friday May 4th, 2012 on CBS at 12:30 pst. Be sure to tune in.

On April 28, 2012 it was announced that Travis Jourdain has decided to jump back into the acting business after taking a break for awhile, and within 2 weeks back in the biz he landed a role on the soap opera The Young and the Restless.

During his break from the acting business he took some time to learn about the “Industry”.
He decided to get into the music business, and started developing artists which he later managed.

Travis also opened a small indie record label that was running for 3 years. He then branched out into the PR business, then spent some time behind a casting desk learning the different aspects of the industry along the way.

With all this under his belt he decided to venture off into another important part of this industry. Which happen to be photography. He found a niche in the photography business and has been pursing a career as a Celebrity Photographer for the past few years.

A veteran in photography, though Travis is fairly new to the Hollywood scene. He has managed to establish himself in such a short period of time as an amazing red carpet, movie stills, and headshot photographer. While doing so has positioned himself right in the middle of all the action. From creating amazing headshots of upcoming and established actors, to covering red carpet events for major celebrities, and shooting stills on movie sets. Chaka Khan Performs Live at Never Again Peace Concert Tribute to Stevie Wonder

On Tuesday, November 1, 2011 The NEVER AGAIN PEACE CONCERT TRIBUTE TO STEVIE WONDER was held at UNIVERSAL CITY WALK’S GIBSON AMPHITHEATRE in Universal City, CA from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Legendary R&B diva Chaka Khan performs live at Never Again Peace Concert Tribute to Stevie Wonder – The Man, The Legend, The Humanitarian.

Also some other special performance appearances were made by R&B crooner Eric Benet, Lalah Hathaway and legendary Armenian singer Flora Martirosian. Among the celebrities were Ron Artest (LA Lakers) and Whitney Houston ex-husband Bobby Brown.

Stevie Wonder received an Award, including art painting at the Never Again Peace Concert.

The purpose of this concert  is to increase awareness for crimes against humanity and to encourage world peace.
