Enter off 3rd Street from Gracie Allen Way or George Burns Road.There will be a shuttle service available every 30 minutes before and after the event.

Street parking is also available surrounding the AIDS Walk Los Angeles venue. Please note that all parking restrictions will be enforced.

The Beverly Center (8500 Beverly Blvd) is available for AIDS Walk Los Angeles participants from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Enter on either La Cienega, Beverly Blvd or San Vicente Blvd.Participants must show their Certificates of Completion to waive the parking fee. Certificates are distributed as walkers cross the finish line on San Vicente between Melrose and Santa Monica.

For $15, park at the Pacific Design Center at 8687 Melrose Ave, just east of San Vicente Blvd.
Enter on Melrose Ave, approach driving Westbound on Melrose from La Cienega Blvd.
Please note that this parking structure is only accessible before 8 a.m. Cars parked at the Pacific Design Center will not be able to exit until after 12 p.m. Wheelchair accessible parking will be at the Pacific Design Center.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, West Hollywood Mayor Jeffrey Prang, and Chair of APLA’s Board of Directors Tom Whitman will speak about the current HIV/AIDS crisis in Los Angeles County and the vital work of APLA, lead beneficiary of the landmark event.

Price and Rod Wright; California State Assembly members Betsy Butler, Mike Feuer, Isadore Hall, andRicardo Lara; Los Angeles City Council members Paul Koretz,Paul Krekorian, and Jan Perry; Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich; Los Angeles City AIDS Coordinator Ricky Rosales; Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent John Deasy; and West Hollywood City Councilmembers John J. Broadcast Crew Parking:  Space will be available on San Vicente Boulevard, north of Santa Monica Boulevard, behind the event stage. Enter San Vicente Boulevard at Sunset Boulevard and go south. There will be media parking along San Vicente. Please contact Gabriel McGowan (listed above) to reserve this parking. For day-of-event questions or assistance, McGowan will be available via mobile phone beginning at 5:00 AM.

MORE: Each day, seven Angelenos are newly infected with HIV.More than 60,000 are already living with the disease, and over 11,000 access APLA’s life-sustaining services, which offer medical care, food, housing support, and other vital necessities to those of lowest income. The agency also provides the county’s largest network of HIV prevention programming, testing and counseling, and robust advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels. AIDS Walk Los Angeles is the single largest source of support for this critical work.

In addition, for many years, AIDS Project Los Angeles has run paidadvertisements on Big Blue Bus (operated by the City of Santa Monica) for AIDS Walk Los Angeles. These ads help educate and engage the public. But this year, the City of Santa Monica has banned these promotions and all other public service messages from charities. While residents of Santa Monica have taken their city to court to fight this absurd policy and preserve free speech, APLA is encouraging supporters to take a stand for the fight against AIDS and againstsuspect government priorities like this one, which favors commercial interests over the public’s interest.

Esteban Escobar aka Steven Escobar Receives Humanitarian Award at the 2012 International Noble Awards

On Wednesday, April 25, 2012 Diversity News Publications announced that Esteban Escobar (Journalist, reporter, editor, columnist, writer, producer, director, publicist, radio personality, accounts receivable specialist and philanthropist) aka Steven Escobar received Humanitarian Award at the International Noble Awards 2012.

Steven Escobar received his award at Kundirana 2012 Gala Concert & International Noble Awards Event benefiting World Medical Missions and De La Salle’s Bahay Pag-Asa.  The event was held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Celebrity Center located at 5930 Franklin Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90028. The masters of ceremonies were Norma Jean Eustaquio and Lisa Cadano. General tickets for the event were $10.00 at the door.

Not too many people are thinking of who birthdays fall during the Labor Day Weekend, because they are off work and they are happy to celebrate the last day of summer. Well many intellectual and great people were born during the week the we need to celebrate, wish and acknowledge them.

Esteban A. Escobar (born in El Salvador on September 6th) is an American Journalist, Reporter, Editor, Columnist, Writer, Publicist and Philanthropist. Also he has over 10 years experience in Healthcare Finance as Account Receivables Specialist. Esteban is known as Steven Escobar. He is the Executive Editor-In-Chief of Diversity News Magazine, an online consumer news magazine that is visited by more than half a million visitors per month and growing each day.

Esteban Steven Escobar is also the President of Diversity News Publications, a news/entertainment media and public relations firm in Hollywood, CA. Steven Escobar owns E.E.Enterprises and an affiliate of The Diversity News Family of Companies. About Esteban “Steven” Escobar (Long Biography):
Esteban A. Escobar (born in El Salvador on September 6th) is an American Journalist, Reporter, Editor, Columnist, Writer, Publicist and Philanthropist. Also he has over 10 years experience in Healthcare Finance as Account Receivables Specialist.

Esteban Escobar was born in El Salvador, Central America. He came to the USA at the age of 14 years. He went to Junior High School, and then graduated of U.S. Grant High School in 1994. In High School he joined the Yearbook Staff as People Editor and he founded News/Noticias, a bilingual (English and Spanish) publication.

Later he enrolled at Los Angeles City and Trade Tech Colleges where he study Journalism. At Los Angeles City College he joined The Collegian Newspaper where he wrote News, Entertainment and even Sports stories. At Los Angeles Trade Tech College Esteban wrote news and features stories for Trade Winds, a student newspaper.

Esteban worked for a Spanish publication named: L.A. Unidos (L.A. United), another consumer news magazine. In 2003 Esteban register Diversity News Publications website. Esteban started networking with major public relations agencies to get added to media/press distribution databases to receive press releases and cover events.

At the middle of 2009 Esteban Escobar decided to make DiversityNewsPublications.Com, a consumer news magazine. The website was redone with couple sections. 30 Thousand Walkers Including Celebrities And Politicians Take Part Of The 25th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles 2009

On Sunday, October 18, 2009 more then 30 thousand walkers including celebrities and politicians took part of the 25th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles. The walk started from 10 am to 2pm in West Hollywood, CA at the West Hollywood Park: The route start was from San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and ended at Melrose Avenue & San Vicente Boulevard.
“I feel like experience that I had with AIDS WALK LA 2009 has definitely made a major impact on my life. First and for most, I want thank both Esteban “Steven” Escobar and Diversity News for encouraging me to become a part of this momentous and historical event. The energy of the crowd was electric. There were so many “Diverse” people taking part in this event including families with small children. Everyone was very positive and ready to become a joined voice in getting the word out about AIDS/HIV awareness. I also commend the support of the crew that works for the organization. They made sure that all of us participants were well hydrated and properly nourished throughout the event. They even cheered us on and made us feel special for participating. There were also DJ’s and live musical performances that help to keep our energy up to endure the walk.” Said Tish “ThaDish” Roberts, actress, model, host and choreographer and Diversity News #3960 Team Leader for AIDS WALK L.A. 2009.
Rain or Shine the streets of West Hollywood were full of caring and passionate people the walked with their friends, co-workers, their kids, couples and even dogs. The walk is 10K (6.2 mile) and walkers received a Certificate of Completion at the end of the walk. The Total 2009 Funds Raised: $3,146,206.00. Ms. Roberts continued “I loved the experience of the event. In my personal opinion, it was all about being selfless of your time, energy and having compassion for human life. I am a total advocate for the advancement of not only social change, but of us as a people fighting to regain a better quality of life by staying healthy. This requires us not only becoming educated regarding serious or life threatening diseases, but to remain vocal in demanding that cures are still a priority for the proper channels to facilitate.” Some of the celebrities and notable figures at AIDS Walk LA event included “Desperate Housewives’” Felicity Huffman, Kathryn Joosten, Charlie Carver, and Maiara Walsh; “Weeds’” Mary-Louise Parker; “Battlestar Gallactica’s” Trica Helfer and Katee Sackhoff; “General Hospital’s” Julie Marie Berman, Sonya Eddy, Fiola Hughes, Kent King, Kimberly McCullough, Minae Noji, and Jason Thompson; “Girls Next Door’s” Crystal Harris, Kristina and Karissa Shannon; Aaron Carter (“Dancing with the Stars”); Candis Cayne (“Dirty Sexy Money”); Wilson Cruz (“He’s Just Not That Into You”); Maria Da Silva (“CNN Hero” Award Recipient); Lashinda Demus (Olympian Hurdler and 2009 USA Outdoor Champion); La Toya Jackson; Ricki Lake (“Charm School with Ricki Lake”); Pauley Perrette (“NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigation Service”); Ashley Roberts (“Pussycat Dolls”); Daniela Ruah (“NCIS: Los Angeles”); Darryl Stephens (“Noah’s Arc”); Boo Boo Stewart (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”). Also, Zelda Rubinstein (“Poltergeist”) and George Takei (“Star Trek”), who both attended the first AIDS Walk, were present at the milestone event.

“ I definitely plan on walking next year and every year after that. I am a “Lifer”. This is such a worthy cause and this non profit deserves all of the support it can get. I will remain a supporter and do my best to continue to get more people involved in the AIDS walk.” Ms. Roberts concluded.

Since AIDS Walk Los Angeles was establish, they has raised more than $66 million for APLA and other Los Angeles County HIV/AIDS service organizations. The speakers were Jeffrey Katzenberg, DreamWorks co-founder, APLA board member, and AWLA sponsor, who spoke on behalf of APLA. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and West Hollywood Mayor Abbe Land spoke about the current HIV/AIDS crisis in Los Angeles and about the importance of the community’s response. Including, Jeffrey Crowley, President Obama’s Director of the office of National AIDS Policy, spoke about the national AIDS strategy.

Diversity News#3960 Team of Diversity News Publications was once again part of this year AIDS Walk LA event. They recruited 32 team members and raised $445.00.
