On Tuesday, October 11, 2011 dick clark productions the nominees of the 2011 American Music Awards to be broadcast live on November 20, 2011 from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE at 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT on the ABC network.
Recording artists Nicki Minaj and Pitbull revealed the “2011 American Music Awards®” (AMAs) nominees this morning from the J.W. Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE (see full list of nominees below). Katy Perry and Pitbull were announced as performers for the 39th annual AMAs. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets are now on sale (please visit www.ticketmaster.com or call 1-877-234-8425.). This year, ABC will air a live pre-show “Countdown to The American Music Awards” starting at 7:00pm ET/PT. In addition, the online pre-show “Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! @ the 2011 AMAs” hosted by Lance Bass, Michael Buckley, Estelle, Sarah Hyland, Mitchel Musso, Josh Sussmanand Xzibit will stream live for fans worldwide starting at 2pm PT / 5pm ET.
Adele leads this year with four (4) nominations. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry follow with three (3) nominations each, and Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Aldean, Kanye West, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull collected two (2) nominations respectively. This year’s 2011 Artist of the Year nominees are: Adele, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Taylor Swift.
For the fifth year, winners will be determined by online voting. Fans can vote at the Coca-Cola AMA voting website, amavote.com, as well as AMA.abc.com. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, and Contemporary Inspirational. On Thursday, August 11, 2011 MTV announced that Bruno Mars is set to take his talents to the “2011 MTV Video Music Awards” stage as the latest artist added to this year’s amazing lineup of VMAperformers.

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will be available to a potential viewing audience of more than 1.2 billion people via MTV’s global network of more than 60 channels reaching more than 640 million households around the world as well as through syndication. In addition, its convergent programming and content will reach the entire interactive community, via MTV’s nearly 200 digital media properties around the world.
The 2010 VMAs averaged a 10.0 P12-34 rating and 11.4 million total viewers, marking the network’s best deliveries for any MTV telecast since the 2002 VMAs (8/29/02) as well as making it the third most watched telecast in MTV’s history.
