14th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards To Air On The Univision Network Will Heat Up Las Vegas Nov. 21

MIAMI (April 22, 2013) — The 14th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards^® will take place inside Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, and will air live in the United States on the Univision Network  from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central). This marks the sixth time that Latin music’s most prestigious awards telecast will take place in Las Vegas. Nominations for the 14th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be announced Wednesday, Sept. 25 at a live press conference in Los Angeles. Unveiled Special Edition Commemorative Poster Celebrates Oscar History with Olly Moss Design

Original Poster on Display at Gallery1988 in Hollywood

February 11, 2013 — BEVERLY HILLS, CA – In celebration of The Oscars® on February 24, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences unveiled today the newest addition to its show poster collection.

The commemorative poster was designed by English artist, graphic designer and illustrator Olly Moss in collaboration with Gallery1988.  The special edition piece features 85 Oscar statuettes, each one distinctly inspired by the Best Picture winners from 1927 to 2012.  The poster images can currently be viewed in a digital gallery athttp://oscar.com/best-pictures-tribute.

Moss, a graduate of the University of Birmingham, is best known for such works as the “Thor” cast poster for Marvel Entertainment, the cover artwork for the “Resistance 3” video game, and his recent book Silhouettes from Popular Culture.  One of the most sought-after screen print artists working today, Moss has created illustrations for The New York Times and The Guardian, and is commissioned by Empire magazine to design a new movie poster illustration every month.

Seven-time Emmy Award winner Betty White will be celebrating her 91st birthday in style as a star-studded line up of special guests pays tribute to one of the world’s most beloved entertainers in “Betty White’s 2nd Annual 90th Birthday Special.

Blake Shelton, Bill Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg, Sean Hayes, Rico Rodriguez, Lily Tomlin and Sarah Silverman will honor America’s comedy sweetheart, along with Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States. Also on hand to deliver birthday wishes will be Vicki Lawrence –reprising her popular title role from “Mama’s Family” — Katie Couric and White’s “Hot in Cleveland” co-stars “Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, as well as Zachary Levi, Larry King and Kate Flannery.

Miss USA Olivia Culpo Wins the Miss Universe 2012 Diamond Nexus Crown at 2012 Miss Universe Competition

On December 19, 2012 Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, is crowned the winner of Miss Universe 2012 with the Diamond Nexus Labs crown LIVE during the NBC Telecast of the 2012 Miss Universe Competition at PH Live in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miss Universe Philippines, Janine Tugonon, is declared first runner-up. Miss Teen USA 2012, Logan West, and Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes congratulates Miss Universe winner Olivia Culpo. The 2012 Miss Universe was held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino located 3663 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89109. The Miss Universe 2012 was hosted by Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic.

Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island as the middle child of five. The 20 year-old comes from a family of avid musicians. Culpo and her siblings each play different instruments and she is an accomplished cellist. Her other interests include watching movies, visiting museums, attending concerts, and making people laugh. The last time Miss USA won the title of Miss Universe was in 1997.

Andy Cohen, host of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live,” and Giuliana Rancic, co-anchor of “E! News,” hosted the “2012 MISS UNIVERSE Competition.” Jeannie Mai of Style Network’s “How Do I Look?” provided behind-the-scenes commentary throughout the LIVE telecast. Three-time Grammy-Award winning band, Train, and Australian Singing and Dancing Sensation, Timomatic performed.

The judges who sealed the fate of this year’s winner included: Pablo Sandoval, Two-Time World Series Champion and MVP with the San Francisco Giants; Nigel Barker, Photographer and host of Oxygen’s new series The Face; Diego Boneta, Singer and Actor best known for starring role in “Rock of Ages” film; Scott Disick, TV Personality from the E! Network; Brad Goreski, Celebrity Stylist and Star of Bravo’s It’s a Brad, Brad World; Chef Masaharu Morimoto, Star of Iron Chef and Award-Winning Chef; Ximena Navarrete, Miss Universe 2010 and Face of L’Oreal; Claudia Jordan, TV & Radio Personality and competitor on the upcoming series All-Star Celebrity Apprentice; Kerri Walsh Jennings, three-time US Olympic Gold Medalist in Beach Volleyball; Lisa Vanderpump, Star on Bravo’s hit series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and new series Vanderpump Rules.

Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from nearly 90 countries and territories around the world competed in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and personality interview. Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes of Angola, crowned her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast.

First Runner-Up: Miss Universe Philippines, Janine Tugonon will assume the duties of Miss Universe 2012 if the titleholder for some reason cannot fulfill her responsibilities.

Cassadee Pope Crowned the Winner of ‘The Voice’ Season 3 live on NBC on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Cassadee Pope to receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

“The Voice” is a presentation of Mark Burnett’s One Three Inc., Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.

Cassadee Blake Pope^[2] (born August 28, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and is the lead vocalist of the pop rock band Hey Monday, which is currently on hiatus as of December 2011. With the band she released the studio album, Hold on Tight and threeextended plays. Hey Monday toured with bands such as Fall Out Boy, All Time Low andYellowcard. Since the band’s hiatus, she embarked on a solo career which was announced in December 2011, but reassured fans that the band was not “broken up.” In early 2012 she played her first acoustic solo tour before releasing her debut solo EP in May later that year. She took part in the third season of NBC‘s The Voice and was crowned the winner on December 18, 2012.

Actor Dustin Hoffman Kisses One Direction’s Niall Horan on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’

Actor Dustin Hoffman Crashes the “Giant Couch” and Gets Close to Pop Superstars One Direction During the Band’s First Visit to the “Late Show with David Letterman”

Also Tonight, Letterman Gives Fellow Kennedy Center Honoree Hoffman a Sign of His Affection after Receiving High Praise from the Academy Award-Winning Actor.

Actor Dustin Hoffman cozies up to pop supergroup One Direction when he crashes their interview during the band’s first appearance on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN Friday, Dec. 7.

Letterman, who throughout the show references the “giant couch” that One Direction will be sitting on during their interview, introduces the band to come out on stage. As Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan shake hands with Dave and sit down on the couch, Dustin Hoffman, also a guest on the show, comes out on stage. The Academy Award-winning actor makes his way to sit at the end of the sofa with the band and, after asking to sit on Letterman’s lap (which the host rebuffs), he plants a big smooch on a laughing Niall Horan, to the amusement of his bandmates and the audience. After Hoffman leaves the stage, Letterman jokes, “Good heavens, what a slut!”

Earlier in the show, Hoffman, who, like Letterman, was an honoree at THE 35TH ANNUAL KENNEDY CENTER HONORS, is effusive in his praise of Letterman as an artist, calling him a satirist on the level of Will Rogers. Letterman, to show his thanks for Hoffman’s kind words, plants a big kiss on the laughing actor.

LL COOL J and Taylor Swift to co-host The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! Wednesday, Dec. 5 on CBS

CBS Entertainment Special Will Announce Nominations for THE 55th ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS® Live from the Bridgestone Arena.

Musical group FUN. and three-time GRAMMY® Award winner Ne-Yo have been added to the lineup for THE GRAMMY NOMINATIONS CONCERT LIVE! — COUNTDOWN TO MUSIC’S BIGGEST NIGHT®.  They join previously announced performers Luke Bryan and three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning group Maroon 5. LL COOL J and Taylor Swift will co-host the one-hour concert special. The show, which will announce nominations in several categories as well as feature performances by past GRAMMY® Award winners and/or nominees, will take place live for the first time ever at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., Wednesday, Dec. 5 (live 10:00 – 11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT/9:00 PM, CT) on the CBS Television Network. This concert special marks the fifth time nominations for the annual GRAMMY Awards® will be announced live on primetime television. Last year’s broadcast of the nominations special helped lead to increased ratings for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards, which attracted 39.9 million viewers, the largest GRAMMY audience since 1984 and the second-largest in history. The broadcast was also the biggest social event in the history of television at that time, drawing 13 million social media comments, with the conversation on Twitter reaching a record high at 160,341 tweets per minute during the live broadcast.

LL COOL J has hosted The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night since its inception in December 2008, and also hosted the annual GRAMMY Awards broadcast for the first time earlier this year. Vice President Joe Biden To Appear in NBC’s Parks and Recreation Airing on November 15 at 9:30-10 p.m. ET

Scenes Filmed Inside Eisenhower Executive Office Building Next to White House.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. November 8, 2012 — Vice President Joe Biden makes a cameo appearance as himself in a scene filmed in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the White House in Washington, D.C., on an episode of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” that will be broadcast on Thursday, November 15 (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

In scenes from the upcoming “Leslie vs. April” episode that were filmed last July, Biden appears with “Parks and Recreation” stars Amy Poehler (as Leslie Knope) and Adam Scott (as Ben Wyatt).

After successfully running a campaign for Congressman Murray in Washington, D.C., Ben decided it was time to move back to Pawnee, where he proposed to Leslie. In the scene with Vice President Biden, Ben and Leslie find themselves back in the nation’s capital to gather Ben’s personal belongings — but Ben arranges a surprise meeting for Leslie.

The scene with Vice President Biden was shot in the Vice President’s Ceremonial Office, also known as the Office of the Secretary of the Navy. The historic chamber was recently restored to its original style. The office’s large formal desk was first used by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1902 and has been used by many other Presidents and Vice Presidents since. The inside of the top drawer has been signed by many of the office-holders since the 1940s, including Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower and Walter Mondale.

“Vice-President Biden is both Leslie’s political hero and her number-one celebrity crush, so meeting him is obviously a huge moment for her,” said Mike Schur, executive producer of “Parks and Recreation.” “We looked at a number of actors to OK the role of ‘Vice-President Joe Biden,’ and ultimately, Joe Biden himself gave the best audition.” (Please click on the photos to view regular size)

“Meeting Vice President Biden was a thrill for me and for Leslie,” said Poehler. “He was a good sport and a great improviser. The Vice President maintained his composure while I harassed him and invaded his personal space. The nation of ‘Parks and Rec’ will be forever grateful.”

During the same visit to Washington, the show – which typically films in Los Angeles — also filmed a scene with Senators Olympia Snowe, Barbara Boxer and John McCain for the series’ season premiere episode which aired September 20.

The Emmy Award-nominated “Parks and Recreation” is currently in its fifth season.

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels (NBC’s “The Office,” “King of the Hill”) and Michael Schur (NBC’s “The Office,” “Saturday Night Live”), “Parks and Recreation” is a hilarious ensemble comedy that follows Leslie Knope (Emmy nominee Poehler, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” “Baby Mama”) a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana, and her tireless efforts to make her quintessentially American town just a little bit more fun.
