Hit Singer/Songwriter and Recording Artist Fawn is releasing her first electronic music single since her Billboard Dance hit song, “Wish U Love”on April 23, 2013.
On Thursday, April 11, 2013 World Wide Vital Marketing & Public Relations announced that hit singer/songwriter and recording artist Fawn, also known as ‘Songirl’ is releasing her first electronic music single since her Billboard Dance song “Wish U Love” went to #6 on the Billboard Dance charts January 2, 2010. http://www.billboard.com/charts/2010-01-02/danceclub-play-songs
On Tuesday, April 23, 2013 progressive house label, Silk Digital Records will release a song written and performed by Fawn entitled “Solitude.” Produced by Digital Sixable, the luxurious track is in a different genre of electronica than her previous Billboard hit song ‘Wish U Love.’ Fawn stated, “I’ve been in the studio the past 3 years writing and recording a massive amount of songs and ‘Solitude’ is one of those songs. When I wrote and recorded Solitude, Digital Sixable lived in Los Angeles, CA. Now he lives in New York,” she laughed. “After he settled into New York, he began working on it again.”
Digital Sixable affirmed, “Believe it or not, it took me a long time to produce this song with Fawn. The problem was that her voice was so lush, that I had to keep working to find that perfect musical sound and in the end, I think it became something unique, yet familiar.” He remarked, “I love Fawn’s voice and I am so happy I can find a great groove to go with it. I’m also happy Fawn had the patience and gave me the freedom to use my full creativity to work with her voice.” He concluded, “I hope I can work with her again on a ton more tracks in the future!”
Fawn reflected, “The thing is, he was working with only one verse for a long time, when I realized that the 2nd verse and bridge were missing. I deeply appreciate the fact that he kept the integrity of my entire song intact and made it work. Other producers in the past have left out key lyrics and melodic lines in my songs, which I have found extremely frustrating and disappointing as a songwriter.” She remarked,
“So it may have taken Digital Sixable awhile to get the track done, but in this case, it’s the old saying, ‘good things come to those who wait,’ because I think he did an immensely stellar job with it, and in the end, it doesn’t matter how long it took to finish, it only matters that he created a musical masterpiece.” She continued, “Working with him is a complete joy. He lifts me up, inspires me and makes me want to keep doing my music.” She concluded, “As for all those other songs, I’m releasing an album of piano pieces I composed, as well as a 2 part album of Electro music. These albums were produced by myself, Lasswell, Danny James McCarthy and Chip Charlie and will be released on Stonedef Records this year.”
Silk Sofa’s Max Flyant commented, “Silk Music is honored to work with Fawn and Digital Sixable who have created an incredibly talented and harmonic duo. Their music is always a result of hard work. We are thrilled to launch probably one of their brightest singles called “Solitude” on our Silk Digital Records label later in April. And most importantly, our fruitful cooperation doesn’t end here: be ready to hear more of them later this year on other Silk Music labels.”
This is the 2nd release of chill out music by Fawn and Digital Sixable. Their first song, “Come Back” is on Proton Records and is available on Beatport. ‘Solitude’ will be released through the progressive house label, Silk Digital Records, and “Where Has Your Love Gone” written and performed by Fawn and produced by Digital Sixable will be released later in the year on Silk Sofa Music Imprint.

Los Angeles, April 3, 2013 - GLAAD, the nation’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today announced it will honor former President Bill Clinton at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. Bill Clinton will receive GLAAD’s first Advocate for Change Award during the event. In 2011, Clinton advocated for marriage equality in New York, stating that “for more than a century, our Statue of Liberty has welcomed all kinds of people from all over the world yearning to be free. In the 21st century, I believe New York’s welcome must include marriage equality.” In 2012, he joined the Coalition to Protect North Carolina Families in working against North Carolina’s proposed Amendment One to ban marriage and civil unions for gay and lesbian couples. Most recently, he called for the Supreme Court to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act in an op-ed for The Washington Post.
During his administration, Clinton became the first U.S. President to appoint out gay and lesbian people to all levels of government. He appointed more than 150 including James Hormel as America’s first openly gay ambassador. “President Clinton’s support of the LGBT community and recognition that DOMA, the so-called Defense of Marriage Act, is unconstitutional and should be struck down shows that the political landscape continues to change in favor of LGBT equality,” said GLAAD’s Wilson Cruz. “Leaders and allies like President Clinton are critical to moving our march for equality forward.”

He is a name partner at Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush & Kaller, LLP, specializing in the representation of actors, directors and writers. He served as the first out gay man on the Board of Trustees for his daughter’s school, the Center for Early Education, and currently serves as the first out gay man on the Board of Trustees at the Archer School for Girls. Warren joined GLAAD’s Board of Directors in 2010, and currently serves on the Executive Committee.
“Steve Warren’s work and career have opened doors for out professionals across the entertainment industry,” said Wilson Cruz. “In addition to advocating for LGBT people, he has continuously mobilized a large base of high-profile allies to help bring about social change,” said Cruz.
The Stephen F. Kolzak Award is named after a successful casting director who devoted the last part of his life to raising awareness in the entertainment industry about the discrimination faced by gay and HIV-positive people. The award is presented to an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality for our community. Previous recipients include Ellen DeGeneres, Sir Ian McKellen, Bill Condon, Wanda Sykes, Alan Ball and Robert Greenblatt.

About Autism: Autism is a general term used to describe a group of complex developmental brain disorders – autism spectrum disorders–caused by a combination of genes and environmental influences. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by communication difficulties, social and behavioral challenges, as well as repetitive behaviors. An estimated one in 88 children in the U.S. is on the autism spectrum – a 78 percent increase in six years that is only partly explained by improved diagnosis.
About Autism Speaks: Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. It is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Suzanne and Bob Wright, the grandparents of a child with autism. Mr. Wright is the former vice chairman of General Electric and chief executive officer of NBC and NBC Universal. Since its inception, Autism Speaks has committed more than $195 million to research and developing innovative resources for families. Each year Walk Now for Autism Speaks events are held in more than 100 cities across North America. On the global front, Autism Speaks has established partnerships and related activities in more than 40 countries on five continents to foster international research, services and awareness. Filed under Award Shows, Breaking News, Celebrities News, Entertainment, LGBT News
NEW YORK, NY, March 2, 2013 - GLAAD, the nation’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today announced that Madonna will present journalist, author and talk show host Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo Award at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at the New York ceremony on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the New York Marriot Marquis, presented locally by Delta Air Lines. The GLAAD Media Awards are presented nationally by Ketel One and Wells Fargo.
Cooper and Madonna are longtime friends who have both used their careers to raise support for LGBT people around the globe.
For tickets, table purchases and additional information about the GLAAD Media Awards visit http://glaad.org/mediaawards.
“Madonna has been a passionate spokesperson and long time supporter of gay rights. She has embraced LGBT people around the world on many occasions,” said GLAAD President Herndon Graddick. “From speaking out against bullying to raising support for marriage equality, Madonna has always been one of our community’s strongest allies. We are honored to have her stand with GLAAD and Anderson Cooper.”
The Vito Russo Award is presented to an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality. The Award is named for Vito Russo, a founder of GLAAD and celebrated activist with ACT UP, who chronicled the early images of LGBT people in film and in his book The Celluloid Closet. Previous Vito Russo honorees include Ricky Martin, Rosie O’Donnell, Alan Cumming, Cynthia Nixon, Nathan Lane, Cherry Jones, Elton John, k.d. lang, Brian Graden, and Tom Ford.
“By sharing his own experiences as a gay man, Anderson has reminded millions of Americans that LGBT people are part of their everyday lives and an integral part of our cultural fabric,” said GLAAD President Herndon Graddick. “He continues to raise the bar and set a new standard for journalists everywhere, and I’m proud to call him a friend.”

Filed under Award Nominations, Breaking News, Celebrities News, Entertainment, Featured, Nominees News
Denzel Washington, Bradley Cooper, Claire Danes, Mark Harmon, Kiefer Sutherland announced as performers.
“Flight,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Modern Family,” “Go On,” “Glee,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Parenthood,” “The Good Wife,” “Breaking Bad,” “NCIS,” “Homeland,” “Justified,” and “Nashville” among top nominated productions.
On February 13, 2013, The Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) announced the nominees for the scripted categories of the 17th Annual PRISM Awards. The PRISM Awards honor TV, movie, music, DVD, and comic book entertainment that accurately depicts drug, alcohol and tobacco use and addiction, as well as mental health issues. The Nomination Review Committee of over 80 representatives of both the entertainment industry and health field, selected nominees from over 400 productions submitted, according to Brian Dyak, President and CEO of EIC.
“We are thrilled to be the flagship network working with Entertainment Industries Council and the 17th Annual PRISM Awards. The entertainment industry continues to create dynamic productions about mental health and substance use that are both insightful and meaningful. We salute all the nominees and the numerous airing partners who help bring the positive, proactive messages created to vast audiences,” said John Landgraf, FX Networks President and PRISM Awards Honorary Committee Chairman.
“Powerful stories about mental health not only raises public awareness, but may also encourage people to recognize and address these issues in their personal lives. PRISM Awards aggregate these topics from media and spotlight the impact our industry has to create positive change in people’s lives,” Dr. Drew Pinsky, TV host and longtime PRISM Awards supporter.
Among networks, NBC came out on top with 13 nominations, followed by FX (7), CBS (6), ABC (5), then Lifetime and Showtime (4 each), AMC and TeenNick (3 each), and TNT and USA (2 each). 20th Century Fox/Fox 21 took the number one slot among studios with 14 nominations, followed by Universal/Focus (12), Sony (10), ABC and CBS (7 each), Lionsgate (5), FX (4), and Paramount, Warner Bros. and Weinstein Co. (2 each).
“The national conversation about mental health is vibrant and all-encompassing with people increasingly interested in diagnosis, treatment and resilience. Entertainment creators can change attitudes and behaviors through accurate portrayals, reducing stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health. The PRISM Awards shines a spotlight on the power of mass media and honors those who engage in the ART of making a difference by bringing authentic, empowering, and even educational characters and storylines to life,” said Dyak.
Winners will be announced during a ceremony on April 25, 2013 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The 17th Annual PRISM Awards Showcase is set to be nationally televised on September 14, 2013 through flagship airing partner FX Network, as well as other cable networks, broadcast stations, video on demand, and online.

Stickam to Cease Operations says Thank You and Farewell to All Site to be up until February 28, 2013
January 30, 2013 by News Desk
Filed under Breaking News, Business News, Entertainment, Featured, Media News
This is the message when you go to: http://www.stickam.com/ read it now, share it and take action if you have any photos or videos log in to download them.
Thank You and Farewell
We were here. We did this. Actually YOU were here, and you did this. Stickam was always about you, not “about us,” like most websites.
After seven wonderful years we are incredibly sad to have to say goodbye. We did everything we could to keep this dream alive, but unfortunately you are reading this message.
When Stickam launched in 2005 we were the very first website devoted to live streaming, user generated video and chat. There was no blueprint, no roadmap to follow. We didn’t know where you would take us.
From the early days of the live community, “Stickam stars” started to emerge… Ibot, Gay God, Kiki Kannibal… Scene kids and scene bands… And then the wonderful Stu Stone and Jamie Kennedy and others came in, and the first regular, produced, live weekly shows on Stickam– the first on the Internet—began and flourished.
We started producing our own content from clubs and venues all over LA whenever we could. We launched our own weekly show Streaming The Cube to celebrate our community.
Daily and weekly shows from G4 TV, Andrew W.K., B-Real, Jake Fogelnest, DJ Rossstar, Allstar Weekend, Guys from Queens, Hank and Jim and so many others followed. We were privileged to present annual unprecedented live coverage of events like Vans Warped Tour, NATPE, SXSW and the Cinefamily telethons. We were honored to power six years of Myles Dyer’s incredible Stickaid and so many other worthy causes. We were also proud to produce and host “Stickam Live For Japan” to help raise money for victims of the tsunami with your help. So many community members came out to lend support to the broadcast that night at The Roxy, including Stu Stone, Cypress Hill, Black Veil Brides, Chantal Claret and James Urine, Mr. Let’s Paint TV, and Sam Proof, and so many more joined via remote.
Just late last year we launched the Stickam Studios at Meltdown with great friends and partners like TheOneRing.net, Iheartcomix, the NerdTerns and MeltCast. We were there for the special night with Die Antwoord and with Tavi Gevinson, and chats with Hollywood Undead and New Years Day and Escape The Fate. We continued to stream the cube.
The site will remain alive here until February 28, 2013. We encourage you to log in and download any of your live recordings or other media you wish to save.
We are incredibly grateful to all the Stickam members and viewers, to all the bands and artists, the radio stations and the shows, and the deer. Thank you for making this a wonderful place for seven years. Thank you all. We will miss you!
Sincerely,
Your friends at Stickam
