On November 8, 2017, Jarvee Elton Hutcherson, Pioneer in Diversity and Inclusion on the Motion Picture and Television Industry Dies. Jarvee Elton Hutcherson was born on June 2, 1954 and died on November 8, 2017. Jarvee E. Hutcherson cause of death was a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jarvee E. Hutcherson was the President of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association, (MMPA), National President of the American Society of Young Musicians (ASYM), President of Dreammation EFX Studios, President of Tri-Elite Entertainment, Ltd., Beverly Hills, Member of Southern California Motion Picture Council, Member of WIF, Actor’s Fund, Executive Producer of The Annual Diversity Awards, Member of the Diversity Breakfast Club, Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and Actors Fund, President of the Hutcherson Family Foundation.
For the past 24 years, The Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA), under the strong leadership of its president, Jarvee E. Hutcherson has served as a dynamic voice for the Television and Motion Picture Diversity Movement. As the executive producer of the Annual Diversity Awards, honoring distinguished achievement in Diversity in Television and the Cinematic Arts, Hutcherson and the MMPA continue to honor the stories and story-tellers: actors, writers, directors, producers and those who dare to create complex and compelling stories across the Diverse spectrum of society.
Jarvee E. Hutcherson was a resident of Beverly Hills, California and Graduate of Cal State University, Los Angeles. Jarvee Hutcherson leaves behind three brothers and two sisters.

On February 2, 2017, Jarvee E. Hutcherson, Presidnet of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA) was honored by the Multicultural Community Production Association with the Diversity Legacy Award. The Diversity Legacy Award was presented in recognition of his lifetime achievement for advocacy television and film Diversity for over 25 years.
On August 15, 2015, the Los Angeles Nollywood Film Association honored Jarvee E. Hutcherson, President of MMPA and ASYM with the Multiculture Awards at the 3rd annual LA Nollywood Film Awards.
On Saturday, March 1, 2014, President & Founder Jarvee Hutcherson (Jarvee E. Hutcherson) of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA) were honored for 20th year anniversary for Outstanding contributions in the arts and entertainment industry. The honorable John A. Mirisch, Mayor of the City of Beverly Hills presented the proclamation to Mr. Jarvee Hutcherson at the event.

Recognized as the Spokesperson and Representative of Diversity issues and inclusiveness within the Television Networks, Motion Picture Studios and production companies.
He is Executive Producer of the Annual Diversity Awards, honoring distinguished achievement in Diversity in Television and the Cinematic Arts. Celebrating its 20th Year Anniversary, the show has honored such greats as: Diahann Carroll, Rita Moreno, Oliver Stone, Louis Gossett Jr., Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and countless other show business luminaries. It holds the honor as the premiere show to open the Dolby Theatre formerly Kodak Theatre Ballroom in the heart of Hollywood.
Mr. Hutcherson also serves as National President of the American Society of Young Musicians (ASYM), Committed to the Enrichment and Advancement of Young Musicians Across the Globe! Among past ASYM Trailblazer honorees: Quincy Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Little Richard, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Sir Elton John and more. This year’s Trailblazer honoree, Gloria Estefan.
Jarvee is President of his production company, Tri-Elite Entertainment Ltd, Beverly Hills, and most recently, Jarvee Productions!, to facilitate and produce various Awards, Reality and TV special programming.
He is a Member of the Southern California Motion Picture Council, The Recording Academy, The Motion Picture Academy, Actor’s Fund, The Diversity Breakfast Club, Fred Jordan Mission, and many other significant philanthropic organizations.
Hutcherson has received honors by President Bill Clinton, The United State Senate and Congress for his landmark contribution to Diversity in the Entertainment Industry. He is further listed among the 2005 Outstanding Young Men of America, Marquis Who’s Who, honored with various keys to the cities of New York, Sarasota, Palm Springs, and Dallas, along with numerous commendations from City officials across the USA.
Resident of Beverly Hills, California and Graduate of Cal State University, Los Angeles, Jarvee Hutcherson has three brothers and two sisters.
EDITOR’S NOTE: I am still in shock and can’t believe that Jarvee E. Hutcherson is gone. I took couple hours to do the special design on this post in remembering and loving one of the BEST of the west. Jarvee E. Hutcherson and myself we worked long nights on couple of the projects where I put my name and my brands to show that DIVERSITY were we partner and cooperate because we saw that not every single industry here in America includes Diversity and Inclusion in many fields.
So my dearest friend #JarveeHutcherson (#JarveeEltonHutcherson) and myself we had something in common here in Hollywood to make changes in many fields to see more minority and people of color on high rank positions in the film, television especially in the entertainment industry including government.
Jarvee E. Hutcherson saw and recognized all my contributions to our Diverse community and because of my contributions, education, awareness, Diversity and Inclusion Jarvee E. Hutcherson got the Mayor of the City of Beverly Hills and Council, as well the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors and City of Los Angeles Mayor and Council to recognized me for all my community contributions here in Los Angeles. On March 1, 2014, Jarvee E. Hutcherson got me the following public recognition “The Diversity Award Certificate of Recognition by the City of Beverly Hills & City of Beverly Hills Council, also Congratulations Certificate from County of Los Angeles by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles – March 1, 2014.
