Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival is recognized as the most prestigious
Brazilian Film Festival outside Brazil.
On July 10th 2014, The LABRFF (Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival) held a Networking Mixer to celebrate its seventh edition of the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival. LABRFF announce the films selected for the festival at Ignited Spaces 7080 Hollywood Blvd #1100, Los Angeles, CA 90028 that is scheduled to take place from September 15th to September 20th.
The film festival has been graced with appearances as Dustin Hoffman, Terrence Howard, Keith David, Fernando Meirelles, Murilo Rosa, Cauã Reymond, Camilla Belle, Angeles Woo Babi, Fernanda Machado, Edmilson Filho, Halder Gomes, Tom Cavalcante, Marcelo Galvão, among others.
This edition will feature famous and recognized professionals in the industry, with confirmed presence of actress Liliana Castro, with participation in the TV series “Force Push”, Marcelo Galvão, Director of “Colleagues”, “The Farewell” in post-production, and honored in the recognized Festival de Gramado, Rene Belmonte, writer of “If I were you” I and II, ” Federal Bank Heist,” “Between the Sheets”.
This year they have exclusive news for the festival affiliate members. Opening Night will be held at the Regent Theater in Westwood Village on September 15th with red carpet event and a movie premiere followed by reception. Screenings will be held at the Regent on September 16th and 17th and at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film School on September 18th and 19th. Closing Night to be held at the LAFS on September 19th and a special event on September 20th at the Ignited Spaces in Hollywood. Tickets will be on sale on August 25th.
The festival will also offer a two-day film market, great innovation of this edition, exclusive to members, on Sep 18th and 19th, at AKA Beverly Hills Hotel. Filmmakers and buyers will have the opportunity to do business during the film market and expose projects to a committee in private sessions of 15 minutes for each project.
