Connect! At the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show in Anaheim, January 24-27, 2013
Fewer ID checks, live music in new Grand Plaza, The Venue for lighting, touring and sound plus hundreds of events make the NAMM Show the place to connect in 2013.
Carlsbad, Calif. (September 13, 2012) – With the 2013 NAMM Show opening in less than five months, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is announcing new features that will make the show an even better place to connect with the music product, instrument, pro-light and audio world. The NAMM Show will run January 24-27, 2013 in Anaheim, CA.
In an effort to make attending NAMM completely hassle-free and to open up more space in the convention center, registration will move out of the lobby and into surrounding hotels. Now attendees can check in, pick up their badges and beeline it straight into the show. With the show now extending to the outer glass doors, entrances to the halls will be open and there will be fewer ID checks once inside the convention center. The open lobby will play host to an exclusive Member Center, digital media hub, new product showcases and more.
“NAMM Members tell us that the show is a critically important part of their business strategy,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. “These changes and new features are designed to help our members have a productive and fun time while they are in Anaheim.”
Lighting, touring and sound will now take center stage in The Venue located in The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Venue’s dimmed overhead lighting and tall ceilings will allow lighting and entertainment technology products to truly shine as the concert experience comes to life at the NAMM Show.
The new Grand Plaza is under construction currently, but will be fully completed in time for the NAMM Show. The plaza, which runs between the Hilton and Marriott leading to the main entrance of the Anaheim Convention Center, will include an outdoor stage for live music throughout the day and a place for Members to network.
Registration opens for attendees on October 3, for exhibitors on October 12 and media on October 18.Exhibit space is still available for the 2013 event. The earlier a company commits, the more location options will be available. NAMM Member hotel bookings open on October 3 with non-member housing opening November 14.
