On Friday, October 8, 2010 KCBS-TV News Anchor Pat Harvey hosted the 2010 Media Access Awards from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at The Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills in The Verandah Room located at 9882 South Santa Monica Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90212. Actor Ron Livingston presented the Christopher Reeve Acting Scholarship.
The 2010 Media Access Award Recipients were:
- AFTRA Disability Awareness Award – to Darcy Pohland
- CSA Award – to Robert J. Ulrich, Eric Dawson and Carol Kritzer
- WGAW Joan Young Award – to Vince Gilligan
- Producers Guild of America George Sunga Award - To Mike Tollin
- Christopher Reeve Acting Scholarship – To Christopher Thornton and
- RJ Mitte Diversity Award - To Atticus Shaffer.
About The 2010 Media Access Awards:
Is a press breakfast honoring individuals and organizations in the entertainment and broadcast industries for their efforts in promoting the awareness of the disability experience, accessibility for people with disabilities, and the accurate depiction of characters with disabilities.
